Trail-Tested: Proven Reliable Side-by-Side Models

While off-road vehicles show no signs of dwindling in popularity, one that has increased in popularity is the side-by-side. Folks see them everywhere, and while solo riders may wonder why, we’re here to talk about what the rave is all about. Some of the best side-by-side 2023 models are available in our showrooms, so you know that we know what we’re talking about.

What makes them an awesome choice? SXS’ are built with off-road safety in mind. Unlike a conventional ATV, a SXS has separate seats for driver and passenger, seatbelts, and roll bars. Many riders are more comfortable in them because they have a steering wheel instead of handlebars, which is more familiar for many people. They have better suspension than a jeep for off-roading and a surprisingly smooth ride over rough terrain.

When you’re out for a ride on any off-road vehicle, you want to know that it will not break down on you and leave you stranded in the middle of nowhere. Kawasaki, a company known for high-quality ATVs and UTVs, makes some of the most reliable side-by-side vehicles.

Kickstart with Kawasaki

The Kawasaki Teryx models have a long history of being reliable. The double-wishbone front suspension and the rear four-link suspension can handle the roughest terrain you can think to drive it on. The transmission housing and engine case on the KRX are incredibly durable, so they’ll be able to take whatever abuse you want to throw at it. Yes, it has enough oomph in the engine to get where you want to go. It also has some of the best engine braking in the industry, which can make a huge difference in a vehicle’s off-road confidence.

These models can carry up to four people, so you can take the kids with you while ripping around the backcountry and know they are safely buckled in.

Kawasaki also makes the Mule series, which is more of a UTV but allows for a passenger next to the driver. You want these for working on the farm and the ranch because they will continue running for years with their long-lasting durability.

The Mule SX has a 500kg towing capacity and an 181kg box capacity, while the Pro-MX has a towing capacity of 680kg and a box capacity of 317kg, so you know these machines are ready to work. They use a similar single-cylinder engine, with the SX being air-cooled and the Pro-MX being liquid-cooled.

See Yourself in a CFMoto

Another side-by-side manufacturer that builds for reliability is the CFMoto. Like Kawasaki, most riders know them for their bikes, but they have really brought their A-game to the side-by-side market.

We’ve got CFMoto side by side in the ZForce and UForce models. The engine is designed to be fuel efficient with low emission levels, which makes it more environmentally friendly. It’s also among the most fuel-efficient engines on the market. The transmission allows the driver to use either 2 or 4-wheel drive options depending on the terrain, and the double wishbone suspension will keep it a smooth ride.
