Polaris Off-Road: A rundown of the 2024 Polaris ATV and SXS Range
No matter what you need it for, be it recreation or work, there is a Polaris ATV for you. Join us as we break down the different models.
RZR
If you’ve got a need for speed, then the RZR is the model for you. The RZR side-by-side has been around for a good 10 years, and while a sporty side-by-side was a bit of a novelty in the beginning, it has since become one of the most popular models out there. Coming in both two- and four-seat models, you and your pals can rip through the terrain and back again and be assured that your ride will have the capability to do so.
It’s also a great choice for newbie riders because while it has the power to get its speed up, the RZR is a comfortable ride with a super responsive throttle.

General
If you need a side-by-side that is great for work as well as play, then give a salute to the General. This crossover model is ideal not only for working on your property but also for going out for a ride through the backcountry. The General can seat up to four people, so you can bring friends or family along for the ride, which is great when you need a few extra hands to do any task on your property. It has a 600-pound box and 1,500-pound towing capacity, so you’ll be able to do the bigger jobs more efficiently.
Ranger
If you want a SXS that will work as hard as you do, then the Ranger is for you. Whether you’ve got a farm or ranch or just a large property you need to get around on, the Ranger can transport you, your helpers, and equipment with ease. Its powerful engine can haul up to 1,000 pounds in the box, and with a 12.5-inch clearance, it can handle any terrain. Certain models come with a 4,500 pound winch, which means you can not only haul, but pull pretty much anything as well. Did we mention the 2,500 pound towing capacity?
Xpedition
This is the UTV you want if you’re looking for adventure. The Xpedition can handle the mountains, the forest, the beach… pretty much anywhere you want to go, it can take you there. The Xpedition has a fully covered cab and cargo box, making it an ideal year-round off-road machine. Rain or shine, snow or sleet, with the right accessories, you can jaunt off wherever you want, whenever you want. Along with the storage compartment, cargo racks can carry all your non-motorized toys, like mountain bikes, kayaks, and camping gear.
Sportsman
Some riders don’t want smooth marked trails, they want to really go off the beaten path, over rough terrain that a regular ATV can’t handle. For those riders, we recommend the Sportsman. This model is made for rough terrain, and will get you up the mountain or through the forest with ease. The Sportsman will take you and all your gear as far off the beaten path as you want, making it an ideal choice for backcountry riders. As a heavy-duty four-wheeler, the Sportsman will work just as hard as it plays. It has a 1,750 towing capacity, so if you need to hook up a trailer to it, you’re all set.
